Default Cheap Trucks, Tractors, and Trailors

A good place to get cheap equipment such as this are those government auctions. Things seized in raids or due to backed taxes and such are normally cheap and if you need something fast, this can be your place.

Another place that I have found for everything, not just large equipment, is Public Surplus: Government Surplus Auctions. This is a site that many government agencies sell off items they no longer need. You might be able to pick up some cheap items in your area.

What a nifty little site. A little hard to navigate in but still cool.

One thing we've done with some pretty good success is to run an ad in the local newspaper near the end of the season saying we buy used zero turn mowers, walk behinds, leaf blowers, etc.
Some guys want out of the business and don't want to fool with trying to run an ad to sell them, etc. We make them a decent offer (sometimes cash depending on what price range the mower, etc)

We've also picked up some clients this way. They've called us about mowers and we asked what they were going to do with their customers.
Some haven't done anything with them and we can pick them up.

Chad.
