    Default Dry Creek Bed

I saw on TV once that if you have drainage issues when it rains you can create a dry creek bed which is basically just a small ditch-type cut into the ground with large river rock in it that gets deeper closer away from the house. Ideally it drains to a street or something.

Has anyone done one of these? Do they work? My backyard has this problem and I wanted to know if it was worth doing.

    Thanks!

I've seen one of these. I don't know if it worked or not but I saw one once. It looked nice and was a nice accent in the lawn.

A dry creek bed sounds like a nifty way to hide a solution to a big problem. I'll have to remember this.

Our county road commission uses them when county property meets private property they work very well and look good to.

I'd love to see a picture of this if anyone has one...
Do you have to put a drain beneath the rock or does the varying sizes take care of the water??

I saw that one too, I tried to apply it but I guess I didn't do it correctly.
