A friend of mine is trying to enhance his customer base for his lawn care company, and has a question I thought I would pose to the forum. In a small town, between postcards or door hangers, which seems to get the most notice from potential customers? I personally think the door hangers work the best, we would be interested in knowing what you folks think.
depends on his specialties. Maintenance I would say door hangers/brochures. High end projects I would say post cards. I got mine at Affordable Promotions Home Page . They have custom templates I've never seen on other sites.
If you need a mailing list just go to your county courthouse and they can provide you with a list of recent home purchases in a certain range.
I would go for door hangers. I don't see them as much and it would defiantly attract my attention. I wouldn't look twice at a postcard, I would probably tuck it away somewhere and would never see it again.
I would suggest a door hanger. A bright, neon color is also very noticeable. People get junk mail and postcards in the mail all the time and they just throw them away. You could even hang the door hangers on doors of a neighborhood after you complete work on a yard there. That way people can either ask the customer or see your work for themselves. You'll get more business.
