Hard transition to come from constrution to lawncare two different way of doing the job. One works alone most of the time. The other requires team work.

I guess that explains it. I would suggest sitting down to air your differences the pros and cons. Then come to a solution. It will be important to understand where the both of you are coming from if this business you both are in, in order for it to survive.

IMO there should always be two to a team. One does the mowing while the other does the trim work and blowing. It has worked real well for me for the past six years. It seems we both finish about the same time. To keep it interesting try running the mower during the morning and trim in the afternoon. That way you both get to have a time to do both mowing and trimming.

I think that you should always have at least two people on a job at all times. It saves time if you and the other person in your crew are in a good rhythm of each other. Also for safety reason's if there is a accident one can always call for help. (or help get your mower out of that darn ditch)

For our company it depends on the yard.

I think you should have a team so the work gets done faster. The faster you get done the more profit you make (in theory).

You always save time when there are more than one person on a job. As long as you can get the jobs done faster and both are busy the majority of the time, keep it a team effort.

I run solo but if you have enough equipment to split up then you should be able to work faster as a team or hire some help and split into 2 crews. I don't understand why someone would want to shoot alone if they don't have 2. Maybe he doesn't like you?

First of all you do not need a license to mow lawns. If you want to make extra money mowing lawns around your neighborhood than go for it.

Here is what you should do:
    1. Pass out the fliers
    2. Make sure you are polite and professional
    3. Do great work
    4. Ask for referrals. The fliers will get you started but the referrals will keep you going.
    5. Add extra services to make more money such as weeding gardens, raking, etc...

People love kids that work hard and are polite. Build a good reputation and you will get plenty of work.
